Anneke van Abeelen

Owner Best Value Trainer. Best Value expert. Helps organisations to implement a Best Value Approach since 2011. So they win more profitable clients by delivering Best Value at the lowest possible cost.

Since 2011 I have been specialising in application of the Best Value Approach in Marketing, Sales, Procurement and Project Management.

As a co-founder of Best Value Experts Academy I have been developing mental coaching and training programs for vendors and clients in and outside of Europe. I have been A+ educated (highest possible level) in the United States of America by the founder of Best Value since 2012 and was the first and only person from Europe (as far as I am aware of) who has spend a personal coaching program of a year with the founder. Also I was one of the first Dutch Best Value Certification Board members  (2013).

Certified Best Value education in multiple languages

At the time Best Value was popular in The Netherlands, other countries such as Belgium, Czech republic, Poland and Norway, were experimenting with the Best Value Approach. Together with my A+ certified Best Value-Experts partners I have started to develop multi lingual Best Value Experts Academy training programs. Our Academy has licensed in the ‘Best Value’ technology from Arizona State University.

Best Value Experts Academy offers certification programs on Best Value levels B, B+, A, A+ based on blended learning. Our online courses are available in the Dutch language as well as English and Norwegian language. Suitable for both clients and vendors, in all industries.

2016>

Best Value implementation organisation-wide

With the increased popularity of Best Value in The Netherlands, the need to measure performance and think value driven, from a client’s perspective, grew.  With my Best Value Experts collegues I have developed and implemented a organisational development program for sales-, bid-, account- and project teams.  The first roll-out of the program (a large vendor in ICT) was a success: 100% of the >300 deelnemers completed the training with a 9/10 score and the bid conversion rate tripled in 1,5 years.

2013>

A vendor focus

In 2013 Best Value was known as a procurement methodology. For vendors there were ample means for training. Also in the USA were Best Value was applied many years sooner.  Based on my training experience with vendors at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management, I have developed the Best Value Vendor Program. A blended learning program on Best Value application from a vendors perspective. Its online course has been updates yearly since, and is still used by organisations throughout Europe.

The Best Value Vendor Program was a global hit and has helped vendors to understand the Best Value Approach quicker (50% less time).

2011-2012

Application from a client’s perspective

The 10-year maintenance of rolling stock (Utrecht tram) was the first maintenance contract in Europe using the Best Value approach in the selection of vendors and in executing the contract. I was the responsible contracting officer and project manager at the clients side (using 15 years of experience in procurement).
